Temporary Postage Increases by USPS

As per the announcement made in August, we will be adding a temporary price increase in our shipping due to the following release by USPS. If your shipping can be decreased by shipping it First Class, we will do so with all orders. If you do not want it shipped First Class, which takes longer to receive, please add a note to the comment box when you check out to NOT ship First Class & we will ship it Priority Mail.

U.S. Postal Service Announces Proposed Temporary Rate Adjustments for 2022 Peak Holiday Season

WASHINGTON — The United States Postal Service filed notice today with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) regarding a temporary price adjustment for key package products for the 2022 peak holiday season. This temporary rate adjustment is similar to ones in past years that help cover extra handling costs to ensure a successful peak season.

The planned peak-season pricing, which was approved by the Governors of the Postal Service on Aug. 9, would affect prices on the following commercial and retail domestic competitive parcels: Priority Mail Express (PME), Priority Mail (PM), First-Class Package Service (FCPS), Parcel Select and USPS Retail Ground. International products would be unaffected. Pending favorable review by the PRC, the temporary rates would go into effect at 12 a.m. Central on Oct. 2, and remain in place until 12 a.m. Central Jan. 22, 2023.

This seasonal adjustment will bring prices for the Postal Service’s commercial and retail customers in line with competitive practices. No structural changes are planned as part of this limited pricing initiative.

Shipping for Christmas 2022

Closed For Reunion 2022

We will be closed Thursday, June 30 through Thursday, July 14. We will re-open Friday, July 15th.

You can order on our website but we will not be fulfilling orders during this time.

We will begin processing them in the order we received them beginning Monday, July 18th.

Shipping for Christmas

As per USPS guidelines, here is the cut-off dates to have orders shipped to receive in time for Christmas:

Recommended send-by dates for expected delivery before December 251

Keep in mind, we will be operating 12pm-4pm beginning this Friday. We understand that the cut-off for Express mail is Dec 23rd, but please keep in mind that there are only 2 employees & we are open for business to walk in customers as well. Every attempt will be made to accommodate all customers but we are human and can only accomplish so much during the holidays.

Our hours of operation for the weeks of Christmas & New Year’s Eve 2021 will be as follows:

Friday, December 17, 2021- 12 pm-4 pm

Monday-Thursday December 20th-23rd- 12 pm-4 pm

Friday December 24, 2021- CLOSED

Monday-Thursday December 27th-30th- 12 pm-4 pm

Friday December 31, 2021- CLOSED

New Beginnings!!!!

Thursday, September 30, 2021, will be our last day of operation inside the 1st Cavalry Division Museum.
I had hoped to begin working on mail orders yesterday that had come across the website since Sept 16th, when we halted filling orders because we were away at Reunion. However I was unable to fill any orders on Wednesday. And with today being our last day of operation in the Museum, we will begin processing orders next week from our new location.
The gift shop will be moving to the 1st Cavalry Division Association HQ located in Copperas Cove.
During the time of our move, we will process orders at least once per week.
We will open for business to the general public on November 1st.

Reunion & Cav Week

NOTICE: For the week of September 20-24, 2021, we will be open during regular business hours but we will not be processing any mail orders (call in, website or mail in) due to the 1st Cavalry Division “Cav Week” as well as the 1st Cavalry Division Association 73rd Annual Reunion being held at the Shilo Inn in Killeen, which begins on Wednesday, September 22nd. If you have placed an order through our website after 2 P.M. on Thursday, September 16th, we will begin processing orders on Wednesday, September 29th in the order that we received them.
